Lawsuit filed against Snohomish County Sheriffs Department

Everett – Everett citizens, Willie Jay Russell and Christine Harper, have filed a lawsuit in the amount of $1.5 million dollars and injunctive relief against Deputy Sheriff Zoellin, Deputy Sheriff Berg, Deputy Sheriff Sgt. Dill and Deputy Sheriff Keith Rogers, who are all law enforcement officers with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. These officers are being sued in both their individual and Official capacities alongside the DOC and other Washington State Law Enforcement agencies in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, for an assault on the wife of Willie Russell,  Christine Harper.

On June 16th, 2017, officers assaulted Christine Harper and denied her medical attention during an attempt to stop her from closing her gate after they conformed with her original request to leave her property due to not having a warrant to search her home or arrest her husband.

However, that did not stop them from coming onto the property and unlawfully removing a surveillance camera from Mr. Russell’s vehicle while armed with AR-15’s.

The camera removed from Mr. Russell’s vehicle, had recorded an earlier incident with a Mariner High School Bus Driver. Mr. Russell was not found at fault for the incident and charges were actually filed against the bus driver for assaulting Mr. Russell.

The case alleges Battery, Assault, Trespass, Infliction of Emotional Distress  and violations of their 4th and 1st amendments all because of Mr. Russell’s community involvement and unwillingness to stop speaking up against the societal wrongs and corrupt government.

Mr. Russell has been a target of law enforcement since the 1980’s when he was one of many individuals that reported Judge Gary M. Little of King County for serious sexual misconduct toward previous students, juveniles in cases that he ruled over and multiple other youth. Mr. Russell also outed the cultish behavior and molestation of children at Community Chapel and Bible Training Center in King County after his own child was a victim.

This morning through tears Mr. Russell explained how all this came to be and how his life was ruined by his choice to speak out.

Now with his wife by his side he continues to fight and speak for those that are too afraid to speak for themselves and our local law enforcement, alongside our Democrat party has tried every effort to silence him. Instead of supporting him and “being proactive to stop abuse of government, they are contributing to it and condoning dangerous behavior”, states Russell.

“Let this law suit be a reminder that you should never give up, nor should you stand down  when faced with forced participation in the conspiracy of silence. Especially when your expected silence is due to bad behavior in the highest levels of our communities and our government”, stated Russell.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s office currently can’t give comment do to pending litigation. We are awaiting statements from others involved.
